WHY ALWAYS PRECIOUS

Always Precious Ltd was set up by Sharon Beauhill in January 2012, with a mission to reduce the number of children placed into care.

At that time Sharon was providing support to mothers with their newborn babies and providing outreach work with young people transitioning from foster care to independent living. Sharon found that most of these young people would seek out their birth parents. Sharon’s true belief is that if those parents had received early intervention and long-term family support this may have prevented those young people from being placed in to care.

Always Precious is quite a unique name, and some may think funny! Sharon came up with this name from working with a very inspiring social worker called Arthur Panton. Sharon felt Arthur was an inspiration to all. His work with families was amazing. Sharon wanted the company to mean something and so she came up with the idea to use Arthur’s initials AP and came up with the name ‘Always Precious’.

The company name represents how Sharon and her team feel about every single child, young person and family they have worked with.
